Argentine Primera Division: Tigre – Huracan Odds for April 20, 2026

Tigre – Huracan

Tigre were unable to return to winning ways last weekend. They were the better side but lacked efficiency and had to settle for a goalless draw away to Atlético Tucumán. After an excellent start to the season, the team are now going through a difficult spell in league play. They are winless in their last eight matches —five draws and three defeats— a run that is beginning to put their playoff spot at risk. As things stand, El Matador remain inside the top eight in Group B of the Torneo Apertura with 18 points, but only ahead of Racing Club on goal difference. At home, their numbers have also dipped, with just three points collected from the last 12 available in this competition. Before their next league fixture, they lost 1-0 at home to Macará on Thursday, April 16 in the second round of the Copa Sudamericana group stage.

Huracán confirmed their improvement last weekend, showing strong character to come from behind and secure an impressive 3-1 home win over Rosario Central. With that result, they extended their unbeaten run in league play to four matches —two wins and two draws— and strengthened their position in the playoff zone in Group B of the Torneo Apertura, now sitting on 20 points. As things stand, El Globo are building momentum at the right time in the competition. On the road in league play, the side led by Diego Martínez picked up a 3-0 win over Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in their most recent outing, following a run of four draws and one defeat earlier in 2026. Looking ahead to Monday’s clash against Tigre, the coaching staff will have a full squad available.

Tigre comes from a very disappointing midweek defeat at home in Copa Sudamericana and once again won’t have their top scorer David Romero due to injury. Huracan has been better lately, no missings for them and a draw would be a good result for their playoffs chances so I’ll take the visitors not to lose.
