Talleres vs Huracan
Talleres want to keep fighting for their first league title in history. Last Tuesday, the team showed good skills to secure a massive 3-2 away success at Union Santa Fe. La T made it three league wins in a row to climb into the 4th spot of the Liga Profesional table on 42 points, six behind leaders Velez Sarsfield, also holding onto one of the Copa Libertadores’ berths in the aggregate rankings. In addition, Talleres lost only one of their last 17 home matches, winning ten and drawing six in that time. Winger Valentin Depietri remains out injured, as well as Sebastian Palacios, who replaced him last time out.
Huracan continue to waste chances in their fight to become league champions for the first time since 1973. Last time out, they had to settle for an unlucky 0-0 home stalemate against Boca Juniors. El Globo lost only one of their last ten league matches, winning five and drawing four in that spell, but they remain third-placed in the Liga Profesional on 43 points, trailing leaders Velez Sarsfield by five. In addition, they stay just one point behind the last Copa Libertadores’ spot in the aggregate table. Huracan lost 4-2 to Atletico Tucuman in their last away game, stopping a three-match unbeaten streak of two victories and one draw as the visiting side. Left back Cesar Ibanez is suspended for Monday after reaching the yellow-card limit.
3rd placed Huracan visits 4th placed Talleres, they are 5 and 6 points respectively behind the leader Velez (who won on Sunday) with 3 games left so the math is simple: they must win and a draw is pretty much the same as a defeat. They will have to take risks sooner or later, so this very short totals line is definitely worth a bet.
