Talleres vs Central Cordoba
Talleres are on three league games without a win (taking a single point in that span) after their 1-1 away draw at Sarandi Arsenal last Saturday. The team are now on four points in as many matches in the Liga Profesional, which places them in the penultimate spot of the 2022 aggregate table, far away from the continental spots. Pedro Caixinha’s men lost their last home match (1-0 to Newell’s Old Boys) to break a three-game winning streak in the league at Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes.
CA Central Cordoba succumbed to a devastating defeat last Tuesday, when they ended up losing 2-0 at home to San Lorenzo. It was their second consecutive loss in the Liga Profesional and, having accumulated four points in as many matches, the team are now only two points above the relegation zone in the respective table. On away turf, El Ferroviario earned a single point from the last nine on offer since beating Velez Sarsfield 2-1 in April.
Even if Talleres might use a mixed lineup due to their midweek game in Copa Libertadores, they still should have enough to beat this poor Central Cordoba.
