Racing vs Talleres
Last runners-up Racing Club are now finding big trouble in the league. In round 14, the team were dominated from beginning to end and succumbed to a heartbreaking 3-1 away defeat at Boca Juniors. La Academia made it five Liga Profesional matches without a win, taking a single point in that spell, a disappointing streak that drops them down to the 14th place of the league table on 18 points. Furthermore, Racing are on two consecutive losses at their own stadium in this competition: they were beaten by Newell’s Old Boys (1-0) and Atletico Tucuman (3-1).
Boosted by a superb performance from striker Michael Santos (who netted a hat-trick), Talleres returned to winning ways last time out, when beating Rosario Central 3-1 at home. Therefore, Javier Gandolfi’s men broke a three-game winless streak of two draws and one defeat to climb into fourth spot of the league table, accumulating 24 points in 14 rounds of Liga Profesional action. Two weeks ago, Talleres succumbed to their first away defeat of the season (1-0 at Estudiantes) after three victories and two draws.
I’ll go with the over here. Talleres is the 2nd best attack in the league while Racing has scored and conceded in 6 of their last 7 games.
