Racing vs Atletico Tucuman
Anibal Moreno’s strike in the 95th minute allowed Racing to take a massive point on their visit to Defensa y Justicia last Wednesday, when they secured a 3-3 draw in a hard-fought game. La Academia are now on five league games unbeaten, having won four and drawn one in that spell. As a result, the team accumulated 41 points in the Liga Profesional and are trailing leaders Atletico Tucuman by three. Furthermore, Fernando Gago’s men are close to securing their ticket to the 2023 Copa Libertadores via the aggregate table.
Atletico Tucuman recovered in time from their little slump last weekend and managed to beat Platense 2-1 at home on Wednesday thanks to goals from Ramiro Carrera and Mateo Coronel. As a result, El Decano returned to the top of the league table on 44 points, two above second placed Boca Juniors (who hold a game in hand) after losing only one of their last seven matches in this competition (along with three victories and three draws).
Must win game for both, they are two of the best attacking teams in the league, Racing has scored 7 and conceded 6 in the last two games and I expect to see another open game here.
