Gimnasia vs Central Cordoba
Gimnasia LP played a decent match last Friday and secured an important point on their visit to Huracan, one of the best teams in the league at the moment, after drawing 0-0. However, El Lobo also made it seven league matches without a win, drawing five and losing two in that spell. As a result, Marcelo Mendez’s men made it 25 points in the Liga Profesional, which is not enough to fight for one of the continental tickets via the aggregate table. Gimnasia managed a single point from the last nine available at their own stadium.
CA Central Cordoba saw their impressive streak coming to an end last Friday, when they played a poor match and lost 1-0 to San Lorenzo at home. That result arrived after ten league games without defeat (six victories and four draws). El Ferroviario remain on 23 points after 20 Liga Profesional rounds, which keeps them just four points above the relegation zone in the aggregate table. On away turf, Omar De Felippe’s men are unbeaten in their last five, winning two and drawing three. Winger Matias Godoy continues to recover from a muscle problem.
Central Cordoba finally lost last weekend but there are no doubts that they’ve improved a lot and at these odds I’ll trust them to avoid a defeat against this poor and irregular Gimnasia.
