Estudiantes vs Central Cordoba

In spite of having not won any of their last four league matches (drawing three and losing one), El Pincha are still one of the group B leaders on 15 points (alongside Tigre and Boca Juniors). Ricardo Zielinski’s men lost their last home match in this competition (to Boca Juniors), but had won the previous three. On Thursday 7, Estudiantes won 4-1 at home over Velez Sarsfield in a Copa Libertadores group game.
CA Central Cordoba had to settle for a 2-2 home draw against Huracan in a thrilling game in round eight. The team continue producing an irregular campaign in the Copa Liga Profesional, accumulating ten points after claiming a single victory across the last seven league games (along with four stalemates and two defeats). The side are now above six teams in the relegation table at the moment.
Estudiantes’ confidence can’t be any higher now after their midweek 4-1 win in Copa Libertadores, and even though they have a short midweek trip to Uruguay, they are expected to use at least some important starters and they should be able to win this game at home.
