Boca vs Racing
Boca Juniors secured an important point on their visit to Rosario Central last Sunday, when they drew 2-2 after netting the equaliser in the 99th minute through a strike from Jorge Figal. However, the defending champions continue producing a terrible campaign this season as they are winless in the last four league games (drawing one and losing three) to accumulate 15 points in a total of 13 rounds, occupying 17th spot of the league rankings. At home, Boca also are on four consecutive domestic games without a win, having drawn one and lost three.
Racing Club are going through difficult times at the moment. Last Monday, the team played one of their worst games of the season and ended up losing 3-1 at home to Atletico Tucuman, who were occupying the penultimate spot of the league table beforehand. As a result, La Academia are now on four matches without a win in this competition, drawing one and losing three in that spell, which means they remain on 18 points and are virtually out of the fight for the Liga Profesional title. Furthermore, Racing won only one of their last four domestic games on away turf, drawing one and losing two. Matias Rojas, Anibal Moreno and Gonzalo Piovi are all expected to return after missing the last league game due to different issues.
Big derby between two teams desperate for wins. They’ve been conceding freely lately so even though it seems impossible to know who will win, i can imagine an open game with goals.
