Boca Juniors vs Instituto
Boca Juniors showed a terrible version last Sunday and succumbed to an unexpected 1-0 away defeat at Banfield, who were occupying the bottom spot of the league table beforehand. Therefore, El Xeneize saw their three-match unbeaten streak of two victories and one draw coming to an end and they remain on 11 points, now five behind leaders San Lorenzo. On a positive note, Boca are on 14 home matches unbeaten in domestic action, winning nine and drawing five in that time.
Instituto fans will have felt disappointed as the team registered a 1-1 home draw against Atletico Tucuman last time out despite having taken the first lead. However, La Gloria are performing well in their return to the top flight: they accumulated ten points to stay safe from relegation threats, having lost only one of seven so far, along with two victories and four stalemates. Instituto collected four of those points on the road as a product of one victory, one draw and one loss.
Boca is a completely unreliable team, it’s hard to remember the last time they had a good performance so even if they are at home I’ll trust the recently promoted but solid Instituto to take something from this game.
