Atletico Tucuman vs Independiente Rivadavia
Atletico Tucuman’s crisis goes deeper match after match. Last Sunday, the team were dominated from beginning to end and succumbed to a devastating 4-1 away loss to group leaders Talleres. As a result, El Decano are the only team who haven’t yet won any matches in the Copa Liga Profesional and remain sharing the bottom spot of the aggregate table with Tigre on five points. In fact, they are winless in the last 11 in league action, drawing five and losing six. Atletico remain without a win in the last seven at home, with four stalemates and three defeats and having not scored in the last four.
Independiente are still unable to overcome their crisis despite coach Martin Cicotello’s arrival. Last Monday, the team couldn’t hold onto their 1-0 lead and ended up losing 2-1 to direct relegation contenders Deportivo Riestra at home, even missing a penalty. That result represented their seventh consecutive defeat in league action and La Lepra dropped down to the bottom spot in the point-average table, accumulating just six points in ten Copa Liga Profesional matches. On away turf, Independiente lost their last four games since beating Gimnasia LP 3-2 in round two.
Atletico are the only winless team after 10 rounds but here they will play at home against the only team that has been worse than them, Independiente Rivadavia and their 7 consecutive defeats. If Atletico can’t win here I don’t know how they will ever do it again but I still can’t trust them but I’ll go for the OVER considering how poor they’ve both been in defense with 14 and 19 goals conceded and that they are in desperate need for a win.
