Aldosivi vs Platense
Aldosivi are yet to earn points in the Liga Profesional following their 1-0 away defeat at Patronato last Tuesday. The team remain bottom in this competition and haven’t claimed any victories in their last eight league matches, with one draw and seven defeats since beating Rosario Central 1-0 at home in April. Of course, this negative run had an impact in the relegation table: El Tiburon are only three points over the drop zone at the moment. At home, Aldosivi lost their last three matches to Huracan, Sarandi Arsenal and Estudiantes. Diego Villar will make it again as interim boss on Tuesday. Striker Martin Cauteruccio and winger Edwin Mosquera remain out injured.
Juan Cruz Esquivel’s goal in the 88th minute allowed Platense to register a 1-1 home draw against Gimnasia LP and stay as one of the league leaders: Platense remain unbeaten in the Liga Profesional with seven points (two wins and one stalemate) and are sharing the top of the table with Estudiantes and Newell’s Old Boys. This positive run is also helping them to escape relegation: the team are sitting in the 21st spot of the respective table.
Aldosivi are the worst team in the league right now, after a good run in the previous tournament they are back to normal and are really struggling to improve. They are still under an interim coach and they won’t have their top scorer Martin Cauteruccio, so even though Platense is not a great team I rate them as the better one here.
