Aldosivi vs Huracan
Following Santiago Silva’s goal in the 90th minute, Aldosivi finally put an end to their four-game winless streak of one draw and three defeats in league action by beating Lanus 1-0 away. Furthermore, they leapfrogged their opponents to leave the bottom spot of the Liga Profesional table (making it eight points in 11 matches). However, El Tiburon continue occupying one of the relegation spots for now, trailing CA Central Cordoba (who are safe) by one point.
Huracan’s nine-game unbeaten streak of four victories and five draws in league action came to an end last weekend, when the team succumbed to a surprising 1-0 home defeat to Gimnasia LP. As a result, Diego Dabove’s men remain on 17 points in the Liga Profesional table, which is still a good campaign that allows them to occupy one of the Copa Sudamericana places in the 2022 aggregate rankings. Â
A draw is pretty much useless for both as Aldosivi is desperate for points to avoid relegation and Huracan needs to take the opportunity that the teams above lost if they want to get closer to the top places, so I expect at least a couple of goals here.
