Aldosivi – Huracan
Aldosivi managed a valuable point on their visit to Independiente last Tuesday, when they drew 1-1 despite Leandro Maciel’s sending-off in the first half. Martin Palermo’s men made it six league matches unbeaten (winning five and drawing one) to accumulate 20 points in group B, which places them in second spot. At home, El Tiburon haven’t lost any of the last four, with three victories in a row and one draw since losing to Boca Juniors in round two.
Huracan have run almost out of chances to fight for a ticket to the playoffs last Tuesday, when they registered a disappointing 1-1 home draw against Colon. Frank Kudelka’s men are now on six league matches without a win, having drawn three and lost three in that time. As a result, they earned 12 points in 11 games so far, and are occupying the 21st place in the relegation table, just nine points above Godoy Cruz in 27th. Three of those winless games took place on away turf, with two stalemates and one defeat since El Globo won at Boca Juniors 1-0 in March.
Aldosivi continues with their remarkable season and if they win they will secure a completely unexpected playoff place, so I’m going with the hosts on this huge odds.
