Defensa y Justicia are experiencing a little slump in the Copa Liga Profesional. Last time out, the team showed a poor performance and ended up losing 2-0 to Belgrano at home. That result means El Halcon lost three of their last four league matches, winning only once in that spell. Julio Vaccari’s men remain on 12 points in group B and that negative streak displaced them from the playoff spots. However, the side remain occupying one of the Copa Libertadores’ places in the aggregate table. Defensa beat Lanus 2-0 in their last away game, stopping a five-match winless streak of two draws and three defeats on the road in domestic action.
Union has been solid at home lately but they draw more than win, and Defensa will finally have back their best player and top scorer Nicolas Fernandez, so I expect them to get something from this game.
