Argentina Copa de la Liga: Boca vs Lanus odds for September 23, 2023

Boca vs Lanus

Boca Juniors produced an excellent recovery last Tuesday even though coach Jorge Almiron fielded an alternative XI. Their solid 3-0 away success at CA Central Cordoba allowed the team to stop a three-match losing streak in the Copa Liga Profesional and accumulate six points in five rounds in group B. As a result, El Xeneize are now three points behind the last Copa Libertadores spot in the aggregate table, occupied by San Lorenzo. Boca lost 1-0 to Tigre in their last home match after eight games without defeat at Estadio La Bombonera in domestic action (seven victories and one draw).
Lanus showed slight improvements last Monday, but they were ineffective up front and ended up drawing 0-0 against Sarmiento at home under interim boss Sebastian Salomon. That result means El Granate remain winless in the Copa Liga Profesional, accumulating two points as a product of two stalemates and three losses. Therefore, they remain six points behind the last Copa Libertadores spot in the aggregate table, occupied by San Lorenzo. Furthermore, Lanus managed a single point from the last 12 on offer on away turf since beating Platense 1-0 in June.
I can’t trust this Boca but with all their starters back and considering their poor defense (they’ve conceded in 4 out of 5 games so far in this semester), I expect to see at least a couple of goals here.
