Lanus have been unbeaten in their last eight Superliga matches (five victories, three draws) after beating Talleres 4-2 away in an entertaining game. The positive streak means El Granate are now sitting in third spot of the league table on 19 points, trailing leaders Boca Juniors and Argentinos Juniors by only two. Lanus haven’t lost at home so far, collecting 11 points from 15 available. Last Friday, the team advanced to the Copa Argentina’s semi-finals by beating Independiente 2-0.
Boca Juniors succumbed to their first league defeat this term two weeks ago, when coach Gustavo Alfaro decided to rotate his players and the side ended up losing 1-0 at home to Racing Club. Boca hold the best away record in the league, having booked four successes and one draw without even conceding. A week ago, the side were knocked out of the Copa Libertadores in the semifinals in spite of beating arch-rivals River Plate 1-0 at home (they lost 2-1 on aggregate).
Boca has to be still hurt after getting eliminated once again by River and they have to face a very tough rival like Lanus in the worst possible moment, so I’m going with the home win at very nice odds.
