Union vs Velez

Union Santa Fe are currently putting their continental action in danger for next season. Last Monday, the team succumbed to a devastating 1-0 away loss to direct contenders Platense after conceding just nine minutes before the final whistle. Winger Thiago Fernandez ruptured his knee ligament while midfielder Agustin Bouzat is suspended for Saturday after reaching the yellow-card limit.

If Velez wins they will be virtually champions because they would take a 6 points advantage over Talleres with 2 games left but also with a huge goals difference of +21 against +8. They might not take risks because a draw could be good as they would stay at the top, but they would prefer to finish things here and not take any risks next week in a more difficult game vs Huracan so I expect them to beat the irregular Union.
