Celtic vs Kilmarnock
I am betting Killie +2.25 and under 3.5 goals here when they visit league champions Celtic to kick off their season, I’m not a fan of betting teams when they have just played away in Europe on the Thursday night which Kilmarnock have done when they were beaten 1-0 by Circle Brugge however I believe it is more than factored into their odds. They face Celtic who were undercooked for the first part of the season last season, they opened with a 4-2 win over Ross County last season and Killie are a long way better than Ross County, Celtic odds may reflect some seeing them as more forward now than they were at this stage last season as Celtic have been impressive in their pre-season results however that is pre-season and there is a difference between that and competitive football. Killie are well organised team and I think they will set out to frustrate Celtic today and are worth betting on inflated odds with a couple of competitive games under their belt there European match may be a help rather than a hindrance at this stage of the season and they are worth betting.
