Lanus vs Boca
Lanus seem to be finding a better version lately. On Wednesday, the team secured a hard-fought 1-0 away success at Sarmiento thanks to a strike from Luciano Boggio in the 73rd minute. Therefore, Ricardo Zielinski’s men made it two consecutive victories in the Copa Liga Profesional to accumulate nine points in group B, escaping from relegation danger in the point-average table. Lanus won one and lost one at Estadio Nestor Diaz Perez this term.
Boca Juniors showed improved skills last Wednesday and secured a necessary 2-0 home success over CA Central Cordoba, with Miguel Merentiel and Kevin Zenon scoring. Diego Martinez’s men are yet to lose in the Copa Liga Profesional, accumulating nine points (which is not yet enough to climb into one of the playoff spots in group B). El Xeneize are without defeat in their last nine in league action, having won four and drawn five. On away turf, Boca haven’t lost any of the last four, with two victories and two draws since losing to Racing Club 2-1 in October. Edinson Cavani and Marcos Rojo are available after overcoming their injuries while Ezequiel Fernandez and Cristian Medina returned from the Pre-Olympic Tournament.
With Ezequiel Fernandaz, Medina back in midfield and legendary striker Edinson Cavani available again, and after their solid performance vs Central Cordoba, we should see an improved Boca here.
