Independiente vs Huracan
Independiente seem to have found a way to improve since coach Carlos Tevez’s arrival. In their last league game, the team showed a solid performance to beat Gimnasia LP 2-1 away. That result represented their second consecutive success in league action and allowed El Rojo to make it six points in the Copa Liga Profesional (group A leaders alongside Huracan, Talleres, Banfield, Colon and Velez Sarsfield), also opening a healthy four-point gap over their last opponents (who are currently getting relegated) in the aggregate table. Independiente beat Velez Sarsfield 2-1 in their last home match to stop a three-game losing streak at Estadio Libertadores de America. On Saturday 9, Independiente lost to Estudiantes on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the Copa Argentina round-of-16.
Huracan also secured a big success in round three, when they managed to reverse the score and beat Colon 2-1 at home with Matias Coccaro netting a brace. El Globo accumulated six points in the Copa Liga Profesional (group A leaders alongside Talleres, Banfield, Colon, Independiente and Velez Sarsfield) and made it four victories across the last five league matches (along with a single defeat) to climb out of the relegation spot in the aggregate table, now leading Gimnasia LP by one point. However, Huracan claimed a single victory in their last 14 away games, drawing three and losing ten in that spell. On Saturday 9, Huracan won 5-3 over Racing Club in the Copa Argentina round of 16.
Can’t understand why the incredibly short totals line when this is a massive relegation battle, Huracan is in the relegation spot right now and needs wins. They scored 5 goals and conceded 3 just a few days ago in Copa Argentina, so I have to take the OVER here as 2 goals are definitely possible.
