Argentine Primera Division: Instituto vs Belgrano odds for July 02, 2023

Instituto vs Belgrano

Instituto showed a decent performance last time out, but they couldn’t stop league leaders River Plate’s offensive power and ended up losing 3-1 away despite having taken the first lead. As a result, La Gloria are now on five league matches without a win, with two draws and three losses in that time. Therefore, they remain on 22 points, which keeps them in the penultimate spot of the point-average table and four points above the relegation place in the aggregate rankings. Instituto won only one of their last five home matches, alongside three stalemates and one loss.

Belgrano come to this city derby off a convincing 3-1 home success over Banfield last Monday, with league topscorer Pablo Vegetti netting a new brace. Even though El Pirata are now going through irregular form (having won two, drawn one and lost three of their last six league matches), their campaign after promotion is excellent: the team are occupying seventh spot of the Liga Profesional table on 34 points, currently qualifying for the 2024 Copa Sudamericana.

This is one of the Cordoba city derbies and I expect nothing but a very tight game where Belgrano is the more solid team and they should be able to take something from it, specially considering how great their top scorer Pablo Vegetti has been for them lately.
