Argentine Primera Division: Racing vs Lanus odds for February 27, 2023

Racing vs Lanus

Racing Club played their best game of the season so far in round four, which allowed them to beat relegation candidates Sarandi Arsenal 3-0 away from home. Fernando Gago’s men managed to break a four-game winless streak of two draws and two losses in league action to accumulate five points in the Liga Profesional. Curiously, Racing are now on three matches without a win at their own stadium, having drawn two and lost one since beating Atletico Tucuman 2-0 in October.

Despite having missed a penalty when the game was scoreless, Lanus secured another victory last time out, beating Rosario Central 3-0 at home through a solid performance. As a result, Frank Kudelka’s men made it four wins in as many games in the Liga Profesional to remain as the only leaders on 12 points. In fact, El Granate are now on five league matches unbeaten if we count their 1-1 away draw at Platense in the last 2022 game. On away turf, Lanus won four and drew one of their last six, just losing to Estudiantes 3-1 in that time. Striker Leandro Diaz is set to return from suspension while Cristian Lema will have to serve a one-game ban after seeing a red card against Rosario Central.

I’ll bet the OVER here as we have two good attacking teams, Racing finally won their first game last week while Lanus who won all 4 will have their best striker back but will also miss an important defender like Lema.
