Colon vs Huracan
After their terrible league start, Colon showed an improved version in last Sunday’s city derby and registered a 1-1 away draw at arch-rivals Union Santa Fe. However, that result represented the team’s first point in the 2023 league season, sharing now the bottom spot of the Liga Profesional table with Sarandi Arsenal and CA Central Cordoba. El Sabalero also are on seven games without a win in this competition (two stalemates and five defeats). Following that run, coach Marcelo Saralegui left the club. Furthermore, Colon are on four consecutive defeats at Estadio Brigadier Estanislao Lopez. Coach Nestor Gorosito will make his debut on Sunday after Marcelo Saralegui’s departure.
Huracan keep their standards up in 2023. In round four, the team played enjoyable football to claim an easy 2-0 home success over Barracas Central, which allowed them to make it ten points from 12 on offer in the Liga Profesional. As a result, El Globo remain trailing leaders Lanus by two. Besides, Diego Dabove’s men made it six victories in their last nine league matches, drawing two and losing only one in that spell. Huracan took four points in two away matches this season, beating Defensa y Justicia and drawing at Instituto.
With Gorosito as their coach Colon should improve, probably not enough to beat Huracan here but at least he should make them a better offensive team so I can see a couple of goals here.
