Defensa y Justicia vs Atletico Tucuman
Defensa y Justicia are one of the best squads in the league at the moment. Last weekend, the team secured a solid 2-0 away success at Independiente thanks to goals from Nicolas Fernandez and Santiago Solari. That result represented their third consecutive success without even conceding in league action, which allowed El Halcon to make it nine points in four rounds and trail leaders Lanus by just three. Defensa won five and drew two of their last eight domestic matches at Estadio Norberto Tomaghello, just losing to Huracan in that time.
Atletico Tucuman right midfielder Marcelo Gonzalez found the back of the net in the 94th minute last Monday to make it 1-1 against Velez Sarsfield at home. Even though it was highly celebrated, El Decano are still experiencing poor form: the team secured only two points in four Liga Profesional rounds (just one above bottom-placed Colon, Sarandi Arsenal and CA Central Cordoba) and failed to win in their last eight in league action (four stalemates and four losses), which keeps them seven points away the relegation zone in the point-average rankings.
Atletico is clearly not the team they were last season and they should definitely find trouble against this Defensa.
