Patronato – Argentinos Jrs

Patronato managed an important point on their visit to Talleres last Thursday, when they drew 3-3 after trailing on three occasions. El Patron continue producing a remarkable campaign, with 22 points in 14 matches, as they have been unbeaten in the last four in league action, winning two and drawing two. However, Facundo Sava’s men are still bottom in the relegation table, far away from the first safe spot at the moment. Patronato have been almost perfect at home in the Liga Profesional, winning five of their seven matches (including the last three), along with one draw and one loss.

Argentinos Juniors climbed into third spot in the Liga Profesional table (on 26 points, three behind leaders Atletico Tucuman) thanks to their 1-0 home success over Estudiantes, with Thiago Nuss netting the winner in the first half. That result represented their second consecutive victory in league action and also allowed El Bicho to approach the Copa Libertadores spots in the aggregate table, trailing the last qualifying berth (occupied by River Plate) only by goal difference.

I have to go with Patronato here, they’ve been very solid especially at home where they won almost every game this season.
