Huracan vs Sarmiento
Huracan returned to winning ways last Sunday, when beating Aldosivi 1-0 away thanks to a penalty netted by Franco Cristaldo in the 87th minute. Therefore, El Globo made it 20 points in the Liga Profesional (five behind leaders Atletico Tucuman), having lost only one of their last 11 matches (along with five victories and five stalemates). That good campaign also allows them to continue occupying one of the Copa Sudamericana spots in the 2022 aggregate table. At home, Diego Dabove’s men grabbed eight points from 15 on offer following two victories, two draws and one defeat.
Sarmiento managed another massive win in the Liga Profesional last Friday, when beating Lanus 2-1 at home thanks to a brace from Lisandro Lopez. That result represented their second consecutive success to make it 17 points. This campaign places them away from the relegation fight and near the Copa Sudamericana zone in the aggregate table (trailing the last berth only by goal difference), which would be a first time in the club’s history. Sarmiento won their last away game at River Plate after one draw and four losses in this competition.
Sarmiento’s form is at its best after consecutive wins and I think they should be able to get at least a draw vs this irregular Huracan.
