Atletico Tucuman – Gimnasia
Atletico Tucuman secured a point on their visit to San Lorenzo last time out, when they drew 1-1 away thanks to a goal from Ramiro Carrera just five minutes before the final whistle. However, draws don’t count much for them at the moment as El Decano remain bottom in group A with five points after four winless matches in league action (taking a single point in the process). As a result, relegation became a threat for Atletico, who are now sitting in the 24th place of the respective table.
Gimnasia LP finally put an end to their five-match winless streak of two draws and three defeats in league action last time out, when they beat Talleres 2-1 at home thanks to goals from Cristian Tarragona and Brahian Aleman. As a result, coach Nestor Gorosito took a breather while his team made it nine points in eight rounds (still far away from the qualifying places in group A).
Atletico has been terrible this season and they won’t have an important defender like Bruno Bianchi, but I expect them to take risks at home. These two teams have two of the worst 3 defenses in the league, so I have to expect goals here.
