Copa Libertadores: Atletico Nacional (Colombia) vs Argentinos Jrs (Argentina) Odds for May 6, 2021

Atletico Nacional (Colombia) vs Argentinos Jrs (Argentina)

Atletico Nacional are now second-placed in the Copa Libertadores’ group F on four points (two behind Thursday’s opponents) following their 4-4 away draw at Uruguay’s Nacional last week (after trailing 4-2 at one point). On Sunday, the side were knocked out of the Colombian league playoffs through the away goals rule after drawing 2-2 at home against La Equidad in the return leg of the quarter-finals. Nacional are on three games without a win, drawing two and losing one. However, they hold an impressive 13-match unbeaten streak (11 wins and two draws) in their home games, but they will host this one at Paraguay’s Olimpia due to a social crisis in Colombia.

Argentinos Juniors have been perfect so far on their return to the Copa Libertadores. Last Thursday, they played a convincing game to beat Universidad Catolica 2-0 in Chile and become the only leaders in group F. On Sunday, the team also beat Aldosivi 3-1 on away turf to hold onto a tiny possibility of advancing to the league playoffs (they made it 16 points and are trailing fourth-placed River Plate by two with one round to go in the first stage). El Bicho have been unbeaten in their last eight matches in all competitions, winning four and drawing four. Half of those games took place on the road, with Argentinos taking two victories and two draws.

Nacional’s defense has been terrible lately, they conceded 6 in the last two games but also scored 6 and also 6 in their two Libertadores games, so I expect this trend to continue here.
