San Lorenzo vs Aldosivi
San Lorenzo are winless in their last four league matches, drawing two and losing two, following a boring and scoreless stalemate at Banfield last Sunday, when coach Diego Dabove decided to field an alternative XI. El Ciclon earned only five points in as many matches this season to occupy tenth spot in group A. Four of those points were grabbed at Estadio Pedro Bidegain after beating Sarandi Arsenal, lost to CA Central Cordoba and drawn to Huracan.
Aldosivi continue to find difficulties in earning points. Last time out, they succumbed to an unexpected 2-1 home defeat to direct relegation contenders CA Central Cordoba in spite of playing against ten men for around 60 minutes. After their second consecutive loss, Fernando Gago’s men remain on four points in five rounds (having won one, drawn one and lost three) and are occupying 21st spot in the point-average table. Furthermore, El Tiburon are on three away matches without a win (two draws and one defeat). Aldosivi centre back Emiliano Insua remains recovering from a muscle problem and will miss out. Gaston Gil Romero also succumbed to a similar injury and won’t be available.
San Lorenzo is slowly gaining confidence as shown midweek when they advanced to the next stage of Copa Libertadores, and since the next game is in two weeks they will use their best lineup here which I think should be enough to beat this poor Aldosivi.
