Lanus vs Defensa y Justicia
Lanus showed a decent performance in their league debut, which was enough to take all three points following a 1-0 away success at Independiente, with Guillermo Burdisso finding the back of the net in the second half. That means El Granate lost only one of their last six league matches, having registered three victories and two draws in that stretch. At home, Luis Zubeldia’s men grabbed seven points from the last nine on the line in domestic action.
Defensa y Justicia returned to action in perfect style after lifting the Copa Sudamericana title. The team played enjoyable football to beat Huracan 3-2 at home under interim boss Pablo De Muner thanks to goals from Walter Bou (2) and Gabriel Hachen. El Halcon suffered a single defeat across their last seven domestic matches, winning four and drawing two. On away turf, Defensa won one of their last seven league games, along with three draws and three defeats. Coach Sebastian Beccacece will start his third spell at the club as he replaces Hernan Crespo.

These two met just a few weeks ago in the Copa Sudamericana final where Defensa won 3-0. Their last 5 meetings had at least 2 goals, and I expect the same thing here as they are really good attacking teams.
