World Cup Qualifier: Brazil National Football Team

No matter what season we’re in at FIFA World Cup, the Selecao will always be a top favorite among football analysts, punters, and football fans. The yellow jerseys will once again heat up the stadiums as they try to add one more trophy to their five championships.

They raked a bad reputation for losing to Germany at 7-1, so Brazil have to give their best shots this coming 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Let’s see how the Verde-Amarela will work to their advantage.

Skills and Scoring

Topping the South American qualifiers, Brazil only lost one game and won 12 out of their 18 fixtures. Despite them having a draw with England at 0-0 at a friendly game in Wembley, the national team is still one of the best groups.

Football Star Player

It’s definitely a no-brainer that Neymar is Brazil’s star player for this year’s World Cup. If you haven’t known yet, he’s worth more than Messi and Ronaldo now. Neymar earns €707,692 per week when he joined Paris Saint-Germain.

In just 26 years old, Neymar already made 83 appearances, 53 strikes, and 28 goals in this term for Brazil national team. We’ll just have to wait and see if Tite will call upon the mighty Neymar this coming summer at Russia to compete at World Cup, as the star player is currently nursing an injury from a PSG match against Marseille last February.

Rising Star

At only 20 years of age, Gabriel Jesus already made a mark in football. As a forward for Premier League club Manchester City, he will be part of the Selecao’s attack team. The man city forward frequently displays his skills and scoring capacity whenever he’s included in Pep Guardiola’s lineup.

In just 13 appearances and at a young age at that, he’s already shown eight international strikes and gained an average of more than one goal every other game.
