Tottenham star Serge Aurier‘s brother was shot dead in the early hours of Monday morning.
Serge Aurier’s brother was shot dead in the early hours of Monday morning in Toulouse, France, Tottenham have confirmed. Reports in France claimed Aurier’s brother, Christopher, was shot in the stomach outside a nightclub.
Aurier was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead.
It’s claimed the suspect is still on the run from police following the incident.
Police were called immediately after the shooting and the area is closed off while an investigation is ongoing.
It’s said the incident took place at 5 am on the Boulevard de Thibaud.
Tottenham confirmed it was Aurier’s brother on Monday morning
Spurs’ official Twitter account posted:
“The club is deeply saddened to confirm media reports that Serge Aurier’s brother passed away in the early hours of this morning.
“Everybody at the Club sends their sincerest condolences to Serge and his family.
“Our thoughts are with them all.”
