Matias Zaracho’s goal in the first half allowed Racing Club to beat league leaders Boca Juniors (who hadn’t lost beforehand) 1-0 on away turf. Following that victory, La Academia made it seven league matches without defeat, having won five and drawn two. Racing are now on 19 points, only two behind the top of the table. Eduardo Coudet’s men also won their last three home matches consecutively.
Banfield are only one point above the bottom three in the relegation table following their 2-1 home defeat to Atletico Tucuman two weeks ago. Julio Falcioni’s men haven’t claimed any victories in teir last three league matches (one draw, two losses). El Taladro are producing a miserable campaign so far, with only eight points.
Banfield still has some missings like playmaker Nicolas Bertolo while Racing is finally finding some good form, so I have to go here with the hosts.
