Racing Club is now on three consecutive matches without defeat in the league (two successes, one draw) following a 2-1 away win at Gimnasia LP. Defending Superliga champions are climbing positions in the table, having accumulated nine points in six rounds. However, only four points were claimed at Presidente Peron Stadium, where La Academia registered one victory, one draw and one defeat.
After two consecutive defeats in the Superliga, Sarandi Arsenal returned to winning ways last weekend, when they played enjoyable football to trash Union Santa Fe 4-1 at home. Sergio Rondina’s men seem to be adapting well to life in the top flight: they collected 12 points in six weeks and remain safe from relegation threats so far. On away turf, El Viaducto grabbed six points from nine on offer following two wins and one loss.
Racing’s biggest strength is their attack but they’ve been very poor in defense so far with 10 goals conceded in 6 games. I have to expect an open game here.
