After a sorry start in the Superliga, Atletico Tucuman have improved lately. Last time out, they beat Banfield 2-1 away with Luciano Monzon scoring near the final whistle. As a result, the team managed seven points from the last nine on offer. Ricardo Zielinski’s men have made it 13 points in ten weeks to occupy 16th spot. At home, they booked three victories and two losses so far.
Patronato suffered a heavy blow two weeks ago, when losing 3-1 at home to Newell’s Old Boys in a relegation clash. Therefore, they remain sharing the final drop spot with Rosario Central. Mario Sciacqua’s men are winless in the last five league games (earning two points in that spell) and accumulate 12 points in total. Away from Parana, they haven’t claimed any victories in the last four (two draws, two losses).
