San Lorenzo vs Tigre
San Lorenzo continues to have problems in the Professional League Cup. Last Tuesday, the team had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home against Estudiantes in a close match. As a result, El Ciclón is yet to win in this competition, having picked up just three points in the first five rounds as a result of three draws and two losses. At home, San Lorenzo achieved two points out of nine on offer so far. Goalkeeper Facundo Altamirano returns after missing the last game due to a vision problem.
Tigre continues to get worse game after game. Last Wednesday, the team showed another worrying performance and ended up losing to Defensa y Justicia 1-0 at home. El Matador continues to occupy the last place in the overall table, having achieved only one point in five Professional League Cup games so far. In fact, the team has seven league games without winning (two draws and five losses). Tigre lost six of its last seven away games, and only beat Belgrano 3-0 in November.
Great situation here for San Lorenzo to finally win their first game of the season. They looked good in the second half against Estudiantes and will face possibly the worst team in the league at home, who still couldn’t score a goal after 5 rounds, so I have to go with them to get the 3 points.
