I thought Watford looked incredibly poor v West Ham last Friday night, they have not played well since the re-start and before they played poorly v West Ham they looked very ordinary v Newcastle relying on 2 penalties to get the win, even at home to Norwich they could easily have dropped points that day. They have since sacked manager Nigel Pearson which shocked the football world, given that all in all he has done a good job with them further to that they take on a Manchester City side who were beaten at the weekend and who would not have been happy with their performance v Bournemouth a few days prior, I really think Pep will have his men fired up for this and Watford in the regard are unlucky to be facing them. If City can take the lead early on, we may see Watford’s shallow confidence shatter and I would fancy City to go on and win this by a few goals. I have added about 6% for Watford’s motivation and I still make City a bet so happy to bet City -1.5.
