The Irish have had a tough week losing on penalties to Slovakia and then drawing at home to Wales and they have a whole host of players out through injury, suspension or Covid restrictions. The Irish will have to make do without John Egan, Callum Robinson, Callum O’Dowda, Alan Browne who are all in self Isolation, Captain Seamus Coleman, James McCarthy and Harry Arter are already out injured while James McClean is suspended. The negative team news has meant Stephen Kenny has had to call up a number of under 21 players to the squad and in addition, the Irish team has seen very little rotation and many players face the 3rd game in 6 days. Aside from the team news, Finland will be confident going into this match as they comfortably beat the Irish 1-0 in Dublin last month and they will be looking for another 3 points against an opponent who have lost 6 of their last 8 matches while they themselves have won 4 of their last 6 matches. It may be unfashionable to bet Finland but I think they are a clear bet given the team news and circumstances. I am also going to bet the over goals in this match, the line is very low at just Over 1.75 I think it is worth a go given the Irish side could be a very weak that they field.
