Velez Sarsfield had to settle for a scoreless stalemate at Gimnasia LP in a boring game last Friday. That’s bad news for El Fortin who is now on 29 points, four behind leaders. However, they have claimed seven points from the last nine on offer to reach the fifth spot in the Superliga table. At home, Velez has been unbeaten in their last four matches, with two wins and two draws.
Meanwhile, Aldosivi beat Lanus 2-0 at home to make it three games unbeaten without conceding, having won the last two. Nevertheless, their campaign is poor as El Tiburon managed only 15 points in 17 games. As a result, they continue occupying the final relegation spot.
Aldosivi has found some form lately and the handicap seems too big even if Velez is the better team here, so I’m going with the visitors.
