Gimnasia LP registered a 1-1 draw at Huracan last time out to make it 16 points in the Superliga, which means they remain occupying the bottom spot of the relegation rankings. El Lobo hasn’t lost any of their last four league games, but three of them were draws and the side need to claim victories if they want to stay in the top flight. Gimnasia earned only four points from 27 available at home, but all of those were grabbed in the last two games.
Patronato also is occupying one of the relegation spots. Last Monday, they showed a great display of effort to make it 2-2 against Sarandi Arsenal at home after trailing 2-0 at one point. However, the team are winless in their last 13 league matches (five stalemates and eight losses) and earned only 15 points in the whole season. El Patron is on eight away games without a win, drawing three and losing five.
The two bottom teams of the averages table meet in a must-win the game and I have to expect both of them to go for the 3 points as a draw will be completely useless. 11 of the last 13 Patronato games had at least two goals, and I have to expect the same thing here.
