Olimpia is now at the top of the Group C table on five points following a 3-0 away victory at Sporting Cristal in Peru, with Roque Santa Cruz, William Mendieta and Rodrigo Rojas scoring. The team had their away match at Deportivo Santani postponed last weekend, but they remain as league leaders on 31 points, two above second-placed Cerro Porteno. El Decano is still unbeaten in 2019, having booked ten victories and six draws in all competitions. At home, Olimpia is on 17 games without defeat, winning ten and drawing seven.
Godoy Cruz wasted a big opportunity last Wednesday when drawing 0-0 at Universidad Concepcion in Chile, having played against ten men for around 60 minutes. Therefore, they are on three points in the third spot of the Group C table. El Tomba lost to Belgrano 1-0 last Sunday with a young XI, which means they ended up league season in 14th on 32 points. That defeat stopped an eight-game unbeaten streak of two wins and six draws in all competitions. However, Godoy Cruz is on seven away games without a win, drawing four and losing three.
I think Olimpia is the better side here and should get a comfortable win.
