Gremio vs Atletico Tucuman
Copa Libertadores’ defending champions Gremio are close to advancing to the semi-finals again after beating Atletico Tucuman 2-0 in Argentina two weeks ago, thanks to goals from Alisson and Everton. The team also managed to claim a 1-0 away success over Fluminense with an alternative XI last Saturday, which extended their winning streak to four matches in all competitions. Gremio climbed into the fourth spot in the Brazilian league table on 50 points, three behind leaders Palmeiras and Internacional. O Tricolor also is on 11 home matches unbeaten, having won nine of them.
Meanwhile, Atletico Tucuman still dreams of continue making history in the Copa Libertadores, but the task seem tough following their 2-0 home defeat to Gremio. However, El Decano is performing greatly in the Argentine league: having postponed their away game at San Lorenzo last weekend due to heavy rain, Atletico is sitting in second on 14 points with four wins and two draws. They also won the last two away games in all competitions over San Martin SJ and Newell’s Old Boys.
Even though Atletico Tucuman will fight for their dream, Gremio seems unbeatable at home and I think they should extend their winning run.
