Talleres vs Rosario Central

Talleres found it difficult to keep their usual standards in the season opener and they ended up losing at defending champions Boca Juniors 1-0. That means they earned just two points in their last four league matches and also haven’t claimed any victories in the last seven on away turf. At home, the side won six games in a total of eight in 2018, registering just one draw and one loss (to Independiente 2-0) in April.

Rosario Central is improving on defence under boss Edgardo Bauza. After averaging 1,52 goals conceded during the last season, they managed two consecutive clean sheets in all competitions since the new coach arrived. Last Sunday, they beat Banfield 1-0 at home to stop a five-game winless run in the league. 

Rosario Central is an improved team, they now have a good coach and they will only get better this season, while Talleres is in rebuilding mode, with a new coach after a few years under the same one and have lost important players in the offseason.
