Lanus vs Racing

Following a 2-0 defeat away at Argentinos Juniors under interim boss Rodrigo Acosta, Lanus are yet to win in the Superliga and have accumulated just two points this season, which means they are ten points above the drop zone: it’s a healthy gap so far, but relegation could become a certain threat if El Granate don’t improve soon. Lanus managed a single point from six available at home, drawing with Defensa y Justicia and losing to Aldosivi.

A few days after their heartbreaking loss to River Plate in the Copa Libertadores, Racing climbed into the first spot of the Superliga table on ten points by beating Rosario Central (who were leaders before the game) 2-0 at home through goals from Lisandro Lopez and Augusto Solari. It means they are on three league wins in a row without even conceding. On away turf, they drew with Atletico Tucuman and beat Patronato.

I think Racing is quite better than Lanus at the moment and they don’t seem to get worse when they travel. Away win.
