Union Sta Fe vs Velez

Union Santa Fe had their away game at River Plate postponed two weeks ago. Prior to that, they had to settle for a 2-2 home draw with relegation candidates Patronato after conceding just 11 minutes before the final whistle. In spite of collecting just one point from the last six available, El Tatengue are performing a remarkable campaign, sitting in seventh on 19 points. At their own stadium, Union collected 11 of those points as a product of three victories, two draws and a single loss to Godoy Cruz in round ten.

Velez Sarsfield was unlucky to register a scoreless home draw with San Lorenzo last time out. The team clearly deserved the win but they wasted several goalscoring chances. El Fortin has been almost perfect at home and that catapulted them into ninth on 18 points in the Superliga table, but they also hold the worst away record, having booked one draw and four defeats away from Jose Amalfitani Stadium.

This will be a hard-fought clash between two interesting squads. Velez may seem slightly better, but they find much trouble when they travel and Union are usually confident in Santa Fe. Home win.
