Tigre vs Patronato

Coach Nestor Gorosito couldn’t have had a better debut in his second spell at Tigre. The team stopped a three-game winless run of two draws and one defeat by beating Rosario Central 2-0 away. That win allowed the team to keep hoping for a miracle in their task of staying in the Superliga. Accumulating 22 points this term, Tigre is still eight points from safety in the points average table. The side managed only two points from the last nine in offer at Jose Dellagiovanna Stadium.

Patronato wasted a big opportunity to climb out of the relegation zone last weekend when they had to settle for a scoreless home draw with Aldosivi. They remain one point behind San Martin SJ, who occupy the first safe berth in that table. Having suffered a single loss in their last five league matches (along with two wins and two draws), Patronato accumulates 17 points in the league table. However, they lost seven of the nine games played on the road, only beating River Plate and drawing with Union Santa Fe.

Tigre should be boosted by their important win in Rosario and I think they will be able to beat Patronato, who find trouble when they leave Parana.
