Tigre vs Argentinos Jrs

Tigre managed a single point from the last nine available following their 4-1 away defeat at Boca Juniors last Saturday. Mariano Echeverria’s men couldn’t hold onto their 1-0 lead and suffered a heavy rout against defending champions, which means they remain sitting in a relegation spot having accumulated 11 points so far. At home, they have been irregular this season, registering one win (over Estudiantes 1-0 in week eight), three draws and one loss.

Argentinos Juniors are getting worse week after week. Last Sunday, they lost 2-0 to Independiente at home, which means El Bicho are winless in the last six league matches, earning just one point in that span. Therefore, the team remain bottom in the Superliga table on six points with a game in hand and they will face relegation threats unless they improve. Away from home, El Bicho registered two draws and two losses.

Both teams are in crisis and Tigre is already in a desperate mode as they need points ASAP. With nothing to lose after such a terrible start, I expect Argentinos also attacking so I’m expecting a game with goals.
