Talleres are on three Superliga victories in a row after beating Newell’s Old Boys 2-1 last weekend, thanks to goals from Sebastian Palacios and Mauro Ortiz. The club remains unbeaten in seven league matches in 2019, having won four of them. That run allowed them to occupy one of the Copa Sudamericana spots on 33 points. Furthermore, Talleres claimed seven points from the last nine available at Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium.
Tigre made a great effort to end up drawing 2-2 at home with Union Santa Fe, who were leading 2-0 at one point. However, that result is not good news for them as the team are now three points from safety in the points average table. They got much better since Nestor Gorosito’s arrival, earning ten points from the last 12 available to accumulate 29 in total, but that is not yet enough to climb out of the relegation zone. Tigre won their last two games on the road in the context of an irregular away campaign with four victories, two draws and five losses.
Tigre has been a super overish team lately and this game shouldn’t be the exception. They must win and will take all kind of risks like they’ve been doing every game, so I expect goals here.
