San Lorenzo vs River
San Lorenzo was close to breaking Union Santa Fe’s 14-game unbeaten home run last Monday, but they conceded in stoppage time and had to settle for a 1-1 away stalemate. El Ciclon has drawn all three games this Superliga season, having celebrated a single win in the last six dating back to last term (four draws, one loss). At Pedro Bidegain stadium, they claimed seven points from the last nine available in the Superliga.
River Plate hasn’t scored nor conceded in the first three weeks of league action. Last weekend, they had to settle for a scoreless home draw against Argentinos Juniors, lacking effectiveness in the attack once more. On the other hand, goalkeeper Franco Armani is on 889 minutes unbeaten. El Millonario also is on six away games with no loss in the Superliga, having won four of them. On Wednesday, River hosted Racing Club in the Copa Libertadores, winning 3-0, which means they advanced to the quarter-finals.
River’s scoring issues are over as they’ve shown last Wednesday in their Copa Libertadores clash and if there’s one defense that is not reliable now is San Lorenzo, who has scored 9 goals in 6 matches this season (including the 3 Copa Sudamericana games) and conceded at least 1 goal in all of them.
I clearly expect goals here and the line is way too short.
