Patronato vs Aldosivi

Patronato’s three-match unbeaten streak of two wins and one draw came to an end last weekend when the side played a decent game but ended up losing 1-0 at Estudiantes. Therefore, they continue occupying one of the relegation spots, one point from safety. El Patron collected only 16 points this term, but they are on four home matches unbeaten, with two victories and two draws.

Thanks to Javier Iritier’s strike in stoppage time, Aldosivi climbed into the last Copa Sudamericana spot (which would be a first in the club’s history) after a 1-0 home win over San Martin SJ. It’s a remarkable campaign for El Tiburon, who are about to settle their top-flight status after collecting 27 points. The side is also improving on their travels, having not lost any of the last three away matches (one win, two draws).

Patronato last 6 home games had a total of 24 goals (all had 3+ goals) as they continue their quest to stay in the top flight. They are still not safe so they just can’t relax and I expect yet another open game here.
